Dear Universe
Today marks the second National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Emotions stirred so deeply as I reflected on the children who were taken away from their families and never returned home. A home of love, joy, and freedom. The tears stung my eyes and soul as I thought of the separation, hurt, betrayal, and lack of love and affection that these babies endured.
I had to pull myself together so many times as I reminded myself that tears never solve anything. I thought of those who did return to their families with a broken spirit. Survivors and families trying to move on as best that they can but the scars remained on their hearts and minds and bodies. Why should anyone have to go through this pain?
It saddens me to think of all the people around the world over the years who have been ‘violated’ in some way or another. Their freedom, joy, and peace stripped leaving deep scars on their soul. People continue to be violated today. Nations continue to fight for so many reasons. So many innocent lives affected. And for what?
I rarely watch or read the news as it is mostly negative. But whether I watch the news or not does not change the fact that pain is being experienced. I have thought about setting up a ‘Positive News Network (PNN)’ to see if we can project enough positive energy. A network that sow seeds of hope, love, joy, and peace.
It is my greatest hope that one day we can live in harmony and genuinely look out for each other. Help a sister or brother if they are down. A world where we can help each other rise to the heights of joy and peace. Experience a sort of ‘soul ecstasy’.
Until such a day, I will do my best to add a lil spark when I can. If I bring a smile to at least one person in a day, then I know that I have allowed my soul to sing.
Until next chat… Peace, love, and joy always.
